Your Bed
by Rebecca Walkins Randle

Enveloped in this warm cocoon,
we cuddle up like, spoon-in-spoon.

I rest my cheek against your chest,
our heartbeats seem to- coalesce.

Legs entangled and sheets askew
I could, forever, lie with you.

But when I beg the moon to stay,
she only laughs and runs away.

And though I try to keep the night...
you're beckoned by the morning light.
