Tormented Hearts
by Anna I. Boesch

A cold chill runs thru me
I shudder from the inside out
flames ignite within me
fueled by the shadows of your doubt.
Arrows shot at my heart
with words of unintended pain
Then realize, 'tis but the strain.
Souls separate by miles
Tormented, yet strong and devout
put thru many trials
too true a love to be without.
Sometimes it feels as tho
you try to invoke vast distance
attempts to let me go
in your own solitary dance.
I huddle scared and lost
wondering what to make of dreams
feeling my heart's been tossed
like a ragdoll in silly schemes.
I don't know what to make
of the turbulent lows and hights
Illness or perchance fate
that feel horridly like goodbyes.
