Dreams of the lost
by Jason Alan Maline
Sometimes some of the words are hard to say
Our hearts love each other but we must part our ways
You choose the life you live in still
But you give in to everything but your own will
He says he can change and you want it to be true
But you know it won't, so it makes you feel blue
He tells you help can change that, too
But he won't let you live to be the true you
Stuck in that place you call your reality
You lived your dream in what was infidelity
Passion, in your dreams, had come so true
But you never knew it was a reality also for you
I loved to show what else I have to give
But that man you loved can no longer live
His heart was broke in so many places
Everyone else knew by all his faces
You, in the place you have called your home
Placing that love in some dark hidden tome
Hide it away from the man you are married to
He doesn't want you remembering that man you knew
The man whose soul you loved everyday
And let you say everything you had to say
Lived a life and gave you more than passion
He gave you love and your dream of compassion
