Farewell
by Pony  Zhu

Looking into the dark, I can hear someone weeping.
I stretch out my hand, touching a face, smooth and tender.
The someone is me but the face is not yours.

Day will come but my heart is broken.
If only your smile was not so sweet and so moving;
It comes into my dream every night;
It tints every dawn of every gloomy sky.

If only you could hear the slightest voice,
You would hear when I call your name every night;
Gently uttered but strongly resounded.

Weeping endures through the night;
And joy will never come in the morning.

Farewell my fair.
Farewell my angel.
Farewell my sweetheart.
