Missing You
by Edith  Ramirez

I sit here in this lonely room
Thinking about the things I have been through
Watching time go by
All I can do now is sigh

How did my life change so fast?
Feeling as if I was part of a cast
As if I was playing different roles
Losing my mind and getting out of control

I laugh at the jokes
Smile at the folks
Faking is getting old
Being myself is just so hard to hold

I try everyday
To let this feeling go away
To change the way I feel
To finally be able to get away from the guilt

To understand that it was your loss
To admit that it wasn?t my fault
You decided to let me go
You?re the one who hurt me the most

You didn?t try to understand
That the past was no longer at issue
Yet, you saw the easy way out
Instead of being a man and trying your best

You gave up a true love
Who fought all the way till the end...
