Disgraceful Deed
by Kristy  R.

I was so disappointed when you did the disgraceful deed,
It was so unexpected, unthoughtful, it was mean.
My heart was in your hand, my soul was inside yours,
I regret lighting the path and opening the door.

The door that when it is opened, a white room is in sight,
Colors light your clothes from the disco ball and strobe lights.
The room is full of rose pedals and beautiful butterflies,
But the most incredible thing was amazing to your eyes.

My heart was on a swinging chair beating loud for you,
You got close enough to notice that it had your name tattooed.
I know that at that moment you were being sincere,
When you said, ?I love you and I?ll always have you near.?

But then you stabbed at it and ran off leaving the room,
Cursing on your way out and acting really rude.
My door shut automatically bringing water to my eyes,
That?s when I finally noticed your betrayals and your lies.

Now when I see you cross my path, I just turn around,
Recalling how you made me upset, made me feel so down.
I still cannot believe how your love was once my need,
Now I?m stuck with the resentment to your disgraceful deed.
