A Lifetime's Game
by Cynthia A. Rivera

You're the one who makes my heart ache;
Why do you make me feel like a fool,
I really don't know;
I'm getting tired of your games,
It's getting old- really fast;
I feel like my happiness comes last,
I wish you would just make me your wife;
And we could start together a new life,
Even with all the wrongs you've done to me;
I still think we should be,
I'd give you yet another chance;
And together we shall watch the children dance,
To be a loving family together;
This is how it should be - forever,
Me, you and our two children;
But would you keep me as your wife,
Or would I need to find a knife;
I am your best friend,
I am your lover;
I am the one who holds the key to your heart,
Or would you continue playing this game?
