to never love again
by Karen Lynn Amos

to never love again would be torture,
it's like having your heart ripped out of your chest
and torn into a billion pieces...

have you ever felt that?
of course not, you're too into 'her'
to see what you've done to me...

after all these years of faithfulness
you turn your back on me
and for what- a few hours of fun?

I've lived my life to the fullest without you
(or so i thought).
but without you my life is not worth living...

I thought i could live without you
but to tell you the truth
i can't live another minute without you...

i try to hold my head high when i walk down the street
but all i really want to do is hide
and never come out of this broken shell you've pushed me into...

and I'm tired of crying all alone in my room
wondering if you're ever going to come back to me or if i was
just a play toy for you until you found what you really wanted.

well, you know what- I'm tired of waiting
so here's to you
I'm giving my heart to someone who deserves it....

good-bye and good luck..
