The Beating
by gen hearts ian

I can?t describe the pain,
Felt like I was slain
A love that?s unreturned
Is the only prize I?ve earned

Go ahead and hit me
Beat me till you?re happy
I would accept everything
Just to get through this feeling

But it?s simple to ponder
No matter how hard I suffer
You will never ever care
You never meant to repair

The agony has swelled
But not a hand of yours I held
My body is battered
And it?s still me you unheard

Why do I hold on like this?
You had someone you miss
Everyday of your life
While I go on, full of strife

But I?d rather endure
Than find any cure
I?d rather be unloved by you
Than live my life without you
