from beyond insanity
by Terence W Danes
As I peered into her eyes
I all but soon realised,
She couldn't see me, the way I saw her
and I had loved her, that's for sure.
I was lucky to have loved once
and more so fortunate, twice.
the pain of it all, from the first;
but this pain, I think, is the worst.
could I be thinking a third
right now, so absurb!
I look up at rain, from above
pray God, is this love?
A man is lucky to have loved once,
more-so twice
and he thinks there could never another?
