My Beloved
by Nekeisha  Sterling

Arise! My beloved, angel of the night
Graceful wings of a dove
Arise and look at me with eyes that touch
My eternal soul.
Does not my blood, thick and alive,
Sing in your veins?
Your voice from distance shores
Dances to the rhythm
Of my quivering heart.

Arise! My beloved, sit with me
In moonlight splendor, caressed by the
Heavens, adored by the god?s in their
Majestic paradise.
The earth laughed, the ocean sang,
The forest dances, but I...
Behold I...
Echoes of my eternal night
I lost the need to love when we are apart.

Arise, my beloved!
Arise and calm my foolish heart.
