Frozen close
by Lorenzo D. Jackson

It?s cold in the city
But your body is warm
When you?re gone it's a pity
But close, these butterflies swarm

The smell of your scent
Makes my soul freeze
And your beautiful accent
Is my heart?s favorite tease

Let?s slow the pace
?Cause when we walk
It turns a sentence to a race
Its only 9 o'clock

Talk to me
I'll listen to every word
Let me guarantee
?Cause to me it?s preferred

Lace my fingers
Our hands stay glued
Let us linger
We?ll let our eyes intrude

Pull my head a little closer
I'll stop my feet
Let my lips be the composer
Then we can walk again, stop, and then repeat.

I wrap my arms around
I can't help it you?re shaking
My stomach hits the ground
You'll get so warm, your coat starts baking

Does u feel my heart beat?
I feel yours, too.
Get on the concrete,
You?re scuffing my shoe!

I don't care
?Cause u make my day
If I had a final prayer
It would be that you stay

But it's getting late
Even though love isn't gone
This isn't the last date
?Cause I?ll call u at dawn
