Moms Lil Girl

By: Paty Altamira

I know that in your eyes I’m still a little girl
But I’m in growing up now, I’m becoming a women
Even though, sometimes, I feel like running into your arms
For you to caress my face and make everything bad go away
But I don't fit in your arms anymore

You’re a mother like none other
The lessons and the love you give-
Nobody can do it like you

A mother is worth more than gold
But they always go without recognition
You don't do things for applause
Everything you do, you do it out of love

I thank God every night that I’m your daughter
You have cried tears that a mother shouldn't
I’ve made you suffer
I’ve made you cry
If I could take it all away
I would do it without thinking
The pain I’ve caused you comes to me in double
Because the love of a mother is pure
It comes straight from the heart

You have given me everything and more
And I never said, "Thank you"
So I want to do it now...

Thank you
Thank you for all the sweet caresses
Thank you for bringing me into this world
Thank you for being so sweet
Thank you for healing my wounds
Thank you... for being my mother

-For the greatest mother in the whole world, my mom-
