Sleep Old Man
by Freddy Juarez Marmolejo

Lay your tired self to rest, old man
You came to this country from another land
You lived a very long hard life
You were blessed with children and a wife

Sink into your dream most deep
Lay yourself to rest, old man... sleep... sleep
This be a dream of no return
You will not awaken to the morn

You shall never again feel the cold
Sleep old man... I pray for your soul
We shall meet again, my Grandfather
Not in this world but in another

I rejoice for you... dry my tears
Enter your new kingdom without any fear
You shall now stand before the Lord
Prepare to receive the Holy Word

You have arrived at your final destiny
Sleep old man... sleep... for an eternity
