Touched

By: Margaret C. Rigsby

We touched souls, like two lovers
caressing the other.
Your words, you claim to scrawl
onto paper,
are indelibly etched upon my heart.

I long to touch your lips
to feel your body
as the blind see,
with my hands.

I think of you and my heart aches
with passion
while my body shivers
from turmoil...

For, if I ever embrace you,
shower you with my kisses
will I ever be able to let go
of you, dear?
