Why are we all afraid of this thing called death,
Afraid of taking our final breath.
It's a part of the deal, and can't be changed.
Suddenly, the lives around you have all been re-arranged.
You can't prevent it, it can't even be postponed,
it's a part of life, and by all, should be condoned.
It's a painful thing for a loved one to pass away;
Just remember the words, "We'll be together again someday".
Live by this and I promise, it's true,
and the healing of a loss will come easier to you.
I never said that you'll feel no pain,
but the hurt will pass like an afternoon rain.
As time goes on, fond memories will drown the pain,
and less and less you will feel the mournful rain.
You will recall the fun times shared,
as you realize no one could ever be compared.
So don't be so afraid for your life here to pass.
Look beyond to the greener grass.
You will be separated for what seems like forever,
but remember, in the end, we will all be together.......
